Rafal Czarnecki (drums)

I was born in Jastrzębie Zdrój in Nov 24, 1979. At the time of my primary school I have studied piano and guitar but when I was 15 I began my interest in the percussion. It was just fun at this age, first steps playing with other people etc., but ultimately I decided to really work on this instrument. I've began practicing regularly, participating in workshops, I also studied in Prywatna Szkoła Muzyki Rozrywkowej in Katowice.

Presently I practice on my skills by myself, also Adam Buczek - drum teacher in Wydział Jazzu i Muzyki Rozrywkowej in Katowice gives me some guidance throgh private lessons.

I try to be a flexible drummer, avoiding leaning to one particular style of music. I was playing and I still do play with musicians comming from many different styles like funk, rock, pop, jazz, blues, folk. The bands I have played in are: Raven, Zgis, Mr. Blues. Nowadays beside working with Fool-X I play also with Andrzej Cierniewski, Cockroach Quartet and sometimes as a substitute in Redlin and Patchwork.

My favourite musicians are: Dennis Chambers, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, Manu Katche, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Spyro Gyra, Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Count Basic, Sting, Erykah Badu and many, many others.
